  • You just need to hold the button on the battery pack for like 5 second to reverse the effect

I have the QC 3.0 version but due to incompatibility with Essential phone I bought this charger. The battery pack charges quick and also charges Essential phone in rapid mode. Just be careful on first use, When I first tried to charge it, the phone was charging the battery pack instead. You just need to hold the button on the battery pack for like 5 second to reverse the effect.

This thing is great, charges my phone MANY times on one charge and does it very quickly. It is also perfect for Nintendo Switch owners on the go, it charges while I’m playing unlike many chargers.

I picked this up at a great price thanks to the tech press and love the fact that, despite being relatively large and relatively heavy, that I can charge most of our devices multiple times. Normally this isn't a problem, but last summer we had a power cut and discovered that as a family we all think our own phone is the most important thing on the planet and we all wanted to recharge. Our power bank we had at the time would only make one and a half phones and this prompted me to buy this huge capacity.
  • This one is appropriate for USB Type-C phones like the Pixel

This thing is a beast! I purchased this power bank to charge my Google Pixel phone, after much researching on the subject. This one is appropriate for USB Type-C phones like the Pixel, as it uses USB Power Delivery (PD). I went camping for a week and brought this with me so I didn't have to keep turning my car on. This kept me charged all week and I only used a little over half the juice. It's not small, but I did not find its size or weight to be an issue. You won't put this in your pocket, but that's not what it's for. It also holds its charge for a long time. I plugged it in after sitting for about 2 months and it was done charging within minutes. No wall adapter is included, but I have a couple of spares that I purchased with my Pixel and they will charge this rapidly via USB Type-C. Can't go wrong.

FAQ

** Amazon Customer Questions & Answers **
The questions and answers below were created by Amazon customers, who are not affiliated or in any way officially connected with RAVPower. Please follow their advice at your own discretion.
1.When trying to charge my MacBook using the USB-C port on the battery, it immediately begins to recharge itself.. How do I prevent this? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I know this is about the Macbook, but for anyone looking to charge a Chrome OS-based Chromebook, the OS allows us to choose where to direct energy flow after we hold the button down for 5 seconds. A notification will pop up in the notification center and just click it to change the power source of the Chromebook to the ac adapter. .
2.Will this portable battery charge the Nintendo Switch without any problems? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I received this item Wednesday and used it all day yesterday to power my switch while playing Zelda BOTW. No matter what state the switch is in, using the supplied USB-C cable to plug this bank into the switch powered it just like being plugged in to the Nintendo AC Adapter. There was also no need to activate this power bank by pressing the button. At any point, all I had to do was plug them in and they recognized each other and worked instantly in the best possible way. I also saw a YouTube video claiming the charging was only working when the switch was off during connection (with the 20100 mAh version.) Verified FALSE with the charger I received. After playing about 6 hours, starting at 100%, I finished at 100%. Yesterday the bank was fully recharged in a little over an hour. I haven't had my switch power run down yet to test battery fill speed during play, but I expect it to be exactly the same as the Nintendo AC Adapter. The included cables are very good. If only they included a charger....... .
3.Does this support QC 3.0? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I believe that is a different charging protocol actually. I use this for my Google Pixel XL which actually uses Power Delivery (PD) and not Quick Charge 3.0 as its quick charge method. Here's a good article about it from a discussion forum. https://forums.androidcentral.com/google-pixel-accessories/736282-pixel-quick-charge-3-0-usb-c-pd.html .
4.Will this recharge a Surface Pro 4? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: No. This will only charge computers with USB-C charge ports. I believe the Surface Pro has a proprietary charge port. Microsoft needs to get with the times..
5.I need to know can I use my 87W type c Apple charger to charge this at the faster rate or is it too powerful???? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I did this the other day. The cool thing about USBPD used in higher wattage chargers negotiates a voltage/current pair for the device being charged. In this case, it negotiates higher power with the 87w Apple charger. The RAVPower charges very quickly, beating microusb by hours..

7.Has anyone measure the time for it to takes to fully charge from when it almost dead (about 10% left)? Mine is taking like 9 hours to fully charge... Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: It's _way_ faster if you use USB-C and their provided charger. I think mine takes around 3 hours, definitely less than 5..
8.Can i use a nintendo switch 1st party ac wall adapter to charge this power bank? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: Should work fine, both are compatible with 15v.
9.Does it handle passthrough charging? Can I charge a laptop on the usb c output or a phone from the i-smart socket while charging this device? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: Yes.
10.can it be charged trough both inputs at the same time and will that make a difference in charge time? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: Yes, it will speed up the charging process. Just remember you need to use 2A USB chargers(or a 1.5A USB-C charger).
