Great, safe product when paired with a good charger.
This cable is excellent. I needed a longer cable, as my Pixel 2 only came with a 3 foot one, which was inconvenient for me due to socket locations in my home. This cable is one of the ones I found to be more highly recommended by USB C connoisseurs, and they appear to be correct. My research into USB-C accessories opened my eyes to the fact that they are definitely a new product, with some cables, adapters and chargers having CATASTROPHIC technical issues. This cable, however, appeared to be safe based on what I found, so I went with it and bought 2. I am using these cables with both the stock Pixel 2 wall charger and the 30W Anker PowerPort Speed 1; both appear to be performing well. The phone registers quick charging on both chargers, and does charge incredibly fast. The cable does not seem to get hot, make the chargers hot, or make my phone hot. It just does what it does, and boy does it do it well. The connectors are also firm but not to the point where it takes a lot of effort to get them in, but at the same time, they never feel insecure or like they could come out too easily. The singular complaint I have about this cable is its flexibility, or rather its lack thereof. The 3 foot cord from Google is just as solid in performance as this cable, but it is also extremely flexible somehow. It makes it easier to handle the phone when you're farther away from the socket, but I think that the flexibility could be an issue if it reduces the longevity of the cable (breaks near the connector due to over bending, etc.). This cord, especially when fully uncoiled, is fairly stiff. It almost has a "starched" feel to it, but even that doesn't really make me like the cord any less. It's just a quirk. It hasn't been an issue thus far, but I do wonder if it will hold up to the punishment I put cords through. My last 6 foot USB cord was quite flexible, and I took it through the ringer, but it never let up. I am hoping this one will also last a while. Overall, GREAT PRODUCT, would definitely recommend to anyone needing USB-C cables.
