FAQ
1. Can you charge the power bank while the power bank is charging another device?
As others have said, yes, you can do this. But if you are running another device, and you then attach the plug to charge the power bank, the device output will switch off. You can restart it by pressing the button, but this means you cannot use the power bank as an uninterruptible 5V supply. Maybe this doesn't matter for most users, but it caught me out.
2. Is there any problems with airport security or will I have to leave it at home
Technically there should be no problem. However, in China the security officer did a calculation and said it exceeded the 100 Wh limit. He used the listed voltage of 5 along with 22000 mAh to come up with 110 Wh and ignored the label reading of 83.6Wh. So you either need to convince security that the label is correct and it can only deliver 22,000 mAh at 3.8 volts, or go to check-in and ask the airlines for permission. They can approve up to 160 Wh.
3. It flashes 4 blinking lights constantly while charging overnight, no change. It will not charge my iphone 6 or android tablet. Defective?
Make sure you're using a 2.0A output charger. So if you're using the one that came with your iPhone, that one is not powerful enough. Buy a 2.0 output charger or 2.4
4. Has anyone used this successfully for more than 2 months? If so, does it still do 6-7 charges w/o recharging?
Lithium Ion batteries deteriorate. It happens to all of them and it depends how you treat them. Running a battery from 100% -> 0% is the quickest way to reduce the amount of charge and the lifecycle of the battery. Temperature and humidity are also factors. The most optimal method is keep any LiOn battery between 40-80%, or at the very least 20-80%. This battery will last a long time if you treat it correctly, same with your phone batteries.
