  • It also started a very old car with a battery that looked like it came with the car

I've helped out quite a few people with this charger. Its very surprising how powerful it is. I charged it and left it in the trunk of my car for months in the cold weather, I'm in NE and it gets quite cold here. When a stranger asked if I had jumper cables, I whipped this thing out and even though it only had %60 charge, it started up a Toyota Highlander right away. It also started a very old car with a battery that looked like it came with the car. Very highly recommend it. This is actually my second one, which is for my dad.

This is a very solid unit for the money. I use these on jobsites for large equipment for when they sit awhile and the battery runs down. The RAVPOWER products I have bought have all been reliable and well made. This one stays in my vehicle. The 600A is plenty of boost to crank trucks and even small to medium sized engines in tracktors and other construction equipment. This one has a nice layout with a handle. It has a LED light, 2 Smart USB ports to charge phones and devices and a 12 volt output too. The jump starter comes with a nice case to keep it in and all the extra cables and wall charger adapter that are included. I have also purchased another RAVPOWER Jump Starter that is smaller for my son’s car. These are great for emergencies. For those who haven’t used one all you do is connect the battery terminal adapter to the unit, connect the Red and Black clamps to the correct terminals on the vehicle battery. Turn on the unit, press the boost button and wait for the green correct light to come on then start the vehicle. The connector has a Red light for wrong connections. It is a simple and easy way to jump start a car. The unit is well made and feels solid.

This thing is great. I used it to power a GPS when a rental car's outlet was broken. This morning we jump-started a forklift with a dead battery. It's small and easy to use. Comes with a foam rubber case that keeps all the cables neat.

I bought this because somebody who had one bailed me out of a jam! Everyone should have one just to eliminate the stress of that dead car situation. It is so much easier than trying to jump a car with another car. No trying to get into position, just snap it on and does the job. I have not used the phone charger feature yet, which in an emergency would also be a real help. Thanks for a great product.
  • Better Than Expected, Amazing Utility... Dont bother buying jump cables.

Bought this after my parents dicovered they didn't have any jump cables and needed to jump a car. Got it on the prime day lightining sale for $47, what a steal! We got the battery pack charged ~40% in the box so we decided to give it one try on the car before charging it. Boom, started first turnover. When jump cables are $20-40 for an ok-decent set, and this is only $70 currently, except you don't need to rely on another car for this, or deal with the hassle of hooking up to two batteries, why would you ever buy a set of jump cables again? No brainer, get this and never worry about being stranded due to dead battery again.

** Amazon Customer Questions & Answers **
The questions and answers below were created by Amazon customers, who are not affiliated or in any way officially connected with RAVPower. Please follow their advice at your own discretion.
1.Does this come with a case Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: Yes. It has a rigid case. Everything fits in very nicely..
2.is it powerful enough to charge multiple cars on a single charge? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: Like any battery based jump starters, it's going to depend on engine size, starter efficiency, etc. Starting a Duramax 6L diesel will affect it more than starting a 1L Geo Metro. This charger does have a status light scale that should help with the viability of multiple starts. The one I bought my parents, we've used it to jump start an old Bronco (400M engine) with a dead battery, outside in sub-freezing weather and then a 1000cc Kawasaki snow mobile without issue. Once the sled was started, it showed less than 50% on the led scale. You mileage will vary.... .
3.Capacity in mAh is 18.000, but how much it is in Wh (Watt-hours)? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I contacted Ravpower and they use 3.7V so 66.6Wh (which is well under the FAAs restriction of 100Wh max per external battery).
4.Do you have to run this battery completely dead before recharging it or can you top it off every time you use it?? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: Don't know what's recommended by manufacturer, but I recharge after each use no matter what battery level remains and so far has worked fine. I've restarted my car battery several times now, as well as recharged various electronics, and battery works perfectly..
5.how long does it hold its charge before it needs to be recharged (never being used). Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I haven't had it for long, but I charged it once 2 months ago and it is still at the 80%-99% LED, so assuming even discharge at all levels, it seems to be 10 months. Best answer I can give right now..
6.Capacity in mAh (milliAmper per hour) 18.000, but what it is in Watt per hour? Air carrier asking in Wh... Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I contacted Ravpower and they use 3.7V so 66.6Wh (which is well under the FAAs restriction of 100Wh max per external battery).
7.How long does this take to recharge from a wall outlet from completely empty? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: It took around two hours but after unplug it ( around 10mins), the indicate light drop to 80%!!!!! I'm no longer use it or keep it in my car. How do I know what was going on inside???..
8.replacement clamps? the plastic broke at the hinge and I never even got to use this product Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I sent them an email after having the same issue and they replaced mine free of charge..
9.Considering purchasing this for use in my hurricane kit. Would the 12v socket be suitable for running a portable 7" tv when the power goes out? Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I recently used mine through an invertor to power several LED lights and from the USB ports to charge several phones and iPads similtaneously. What you want should work. The key is the wattage of the TV. A 7" LCD with AC/DC probably will draw less than 30 watts from the 12 v accessory socket. The max for that socket is 120 watts. I noted that many of the 7" TVs on Amazon have built in 900 mAh batteries which are rated to last 1.5 to 2 hours. This battery should last much longer. .
10.What are the max. operating and storage temperatures? Also, how well does it jump-start a car? (Most reviewers seem to be charging phones.) Customers are chatting about this View conversation
A: I don't recall the storage/operating temperatures (and don't have the manual at hand at the moment), but the pack was able to jump start my V8 without issue. The pack attaches to the battery and may apply enough charge to start the car. If it doesn't there's a "boost" button on the cable. The boost button dumps the entirety of the pack's power into the battery for 30 seconds. This started my car with a completely dead battery. .
